Music lovers? Improv enthusiasts? Come to Jazzinsieme, a prestigious international jazz festival, taking place from 01 to 4 June 2023 in Pordenone, Italy.
Well-known artists from the Italian or international jazz scene will perform on stage, covering masterpieces of real jazz legends or proposing their own music in many locations in Pordenone, the “painted city”.
DAY 1 – – LEHMANNS BROTHERS

Their story begins in 2012 in France, in Angoulême, when five very young “groove brothers” influenced by funkers such as Prince, Ghost-Note or D’Angelo begin to revisit the jazz-funk of the 70s by infusing it with hip-hop echoes, house and nu-soul. Only a few years later we find the Lehmanns Brothers on stages all over the world: they bring original songs to Jazzinsieme.
DAY 2 – VALDOBBIADENE JAZZ ENSEMBLE + JELLY ROLL PLAYS MORTON

ValdobbiadeneJazz Ensemble is the ambassador musical project of ValdobbiadeneJazz, the festival born in 2019 between the UNESCO hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. The project is made up of young and talented Venetian musicians who are distinguishing themselves with individual and group collaborations and participation in national events and festivals.
Jelly Roll Plays Morton is a quintet project by Helga Plankensteiner that is collecting enthusiastic reviews everywhere for its live shows. An original formation with three wind instruments from the low register: baritone sax, bass clarinet and tuba, as well as piano and drums, whose repertoire is entirely dedicated to compositions by Jelly Roll Morton.
DAY 3 – GIANLUCA PETRELLA – COSMIC RENAISSANCE

Gianluca Petrella is one of the most recognized Italian musicians in the world. Instrumentalist, composer and producer, he won the Critics Poll of Down Beat magazine for two consecutive years, and in his over 20-year career he has intertwined the best of the contemporary music scene in a transversal way. Since 2017 he has been collaborating permanently with Lorenzo Cherubini aka Jovanotti on stage as well as in the studio.
DAY 4 – COLLETTIVO IMMAGINARIO AND RYMDEN
Piazzetta San Marco – 7.30 pm – Free admission
Tommaso Cappellato, Nicolò Masetto and Alberto Lincetto are the three parts that make up Collettivo Immaginario, an instrumental jazz trio steeped in funk born in 2019 that made itself known from Los Angeles to Milan through concerts full of energy. With a style firmly rooted in the jazz tradition of collective improvisation, the trio develops its own blend of modern beats and touches of 70’s-flavored electronics.

RYMDEN was born from the union between the award-winning Norwegian pianist Bugge Wesseltoft and two of the greatest exponents of Scandinavian jazz, as well as absolute innovators of the European jazz language: Magnus Öström and Dan Berglund. Melancholy and atmospheric songwriting, dramatic rhythms and absolute instrumental virtuosity are the three cornerstones of RYMDEN, a project that borders on modern jazz influences, Bach and rock music, intertwining with an adult and relaxed concert experience.
SIDE EVENTS
Various side events are planned, which will enrich the Festival line-up: for example the exhibition “1000 Records for a century. 1900-2000″, curated by the musicologist Enrico Merlin. The exhibition tells the story of 20th-century music through the evolution of the support: paper score, recording, post-production processing, phonographic transposition… up to mp3. The exhibited discs will be accompanied by sound examples.
Another event not to be missed: “Jazz Icons – sound guides to discover Pordenone” (Saturday and Sunday from 3 June to 2 July, 11 am / Friday 2 June, 11 am). These are sound itineraries that will lead us to discover details and anecdotes of some of the key figures of jazz, combined with the description of the most representative glimpses of the historic centre. There will be a tasting of typical local products at the end of the visit!
